    Plant pests and pathogens cause 20%–40% destruction of crops yearly; to mitigate this issue, we will develop a system of AI (computer vision and deep learning) to detect those pathologies in each plant part: leaves, pods, stems, etc. AgroLens uses drones to navigate plantations, take images of crops, analyze and store in a centralized database, and a central system will compile a general dashboard from the data the drones provide. The report will include the percentage of infected plants in the field, the geolocation report (the most infected zone), the priority of the pathology, and any other data useful for the final user. This information will help farmers take data-driven actions to act before the food is damaged. And also reduce the usage of fertilizer. In this project, we will use an OAK-D: A spatial AI powerhouse capable of simultaneously running advanced neural networks while providing depth from two stereo cameras and color information from a single 4K camera in the center.

    We're addressing a primary challenge: improving the availability and accessibility of safe, healthy, nutritious foods. Plant diseases and pests often threaten the availability and safety of plants for human and animal consumption. Global yield losses of critical staple crops can range up to 30%, and hundreds of billions of dollars in lost food production*. When a plant is attacked by disease, the losses may be light or very severe. Sometimes plants may not grow normally or reach their full size, and the illness may destroy plant and fruit cells, decreasing the food quality. At the same time, diseases may ruin the plants causing hunger, starvation, and famines, whereas in other cases, they result in the extinction of entire species of plants. Advances in surveillance technology and functional and streamlined workflow, from data collection, analyses, risk assessment, reporting, and information sharing, are needed to improve the response to the emergence and spread of plant-related pathogens and pests. That's why acting on time in lousy crop conditions will improve food standards, safety and reduce waste. Plant health is essential for human life as plants provide over 80% of the food consumed by humans and are the primary source of nutrition for livestock

    We will charge farmers for each sanity check we perform on their plantation and the price will depend on the size of the plantation.

    Using AI in a simple camera to detect all kinds of visual and non-visual presence of pathologies. We are using advanced AI Techniques. And to be efficient we will integrate our Smart Camera into a drone to be able to cover a large area in a single Sanity Check.
